Is it near Sheffield Aero Club? A little grass strip with a few hangars on it and little light aircraft flying out of it?

This venue lost almost all it's fish some 7 years ago and then the owner died and now his son looks after the lakes and they are not what they were.

Was it flooding that caused the loss? Any ideas where we can get more info?

It does not have its own web site or anything like that. I fished it last winter and never blanked theres still a lot of fish in it though, its a shame its day only.

Did you cast into other peoples swim B8? Only joking mate.
I'd be up for a day on there let me know when, it's only 20 minutes from me.

What are the rules? Is it one rod only or is it a proper carp water?

ha no mate, there are no bait bans of any sort.I think its barbless only but dont hold me to that all hes bothered about is getting your money, you can use a maximum of three rods but i only use two because it can get really busy at times and you just dont have the space. If you ask the bailif about the 30lb grass carp what came out of the pond behind the pub he will go get the picture to show you he sometimes has it on him.I would not take maggits here both lakes are full of nuicience fish only boilies and corn and maize for the hookbait.
