Pegs ETC
« on: November 19, 2008, 07:02:34 PM »
We went and had a wander around the lake today, there are 14 useable pegs. THere are 15 but one is a bit close to others so we decided against it.

The plan is for me and Andy to balif the match to save people arguing about weights and any bad feelings or whatever :) especially now we have some good prizes up for grabs. The thing is we would still both like to wet a line, with that in mind we wondered if it would be OK for us two to fish together with one rod each. That way if one of us is on manouvers weighing a fish the other can watch the rods. If it gets really busy (and lets hope it does!) then we will pull our rods in and both be weighing.

Does this sound reasonable? After all we are both paying full whak to fish too.

Anyhow whilst you consider that have a look http://www.fishy-fingers.co.uk/, I have cobled a site together with some photos and links to the sponsors.

Thats ok with me adi but why dont you both fish 2 rods each off pegs that are close together?(iv got some walki talkis you can use) it seems a shame that the two people that have done all the hard work in organising the match wouldnt be getting the same as everyone else but thats just my opinion what does everybody else think?  8)

Thing is at Alderfen (quite rightly so) they are keen that people are on their rods, the pegs are too far appart to be able to do that, so we thought if we could get two of us on one peg that would be OK and just fish it as a team so to speak.

I've just been looking for some walkie talkies on ebay LOL! That would be great if you could bring them, would the batteries last for 24 hours? If not would they take normal batteries?

Top bloke.
The plan is this:

You catch a fish (hopefully) you use your mobile to call the special 0898 balif number (just kidding) there will be 2 balifs, if one is dealing with a catch and he gets a call from another angler he can use the 2 way radio to get the other balif out of bed to sort it out. Well thats the plan :)
