don't worry penfold you are not on your own. I went down for a few hours and saw the same sort of things.

I blanked of course but with the level of noise and people up and down the bank there was no wonder.

To be honest it has been a problem on busy weekends for ages. The lake needs a balif who is prepared to apply the rules.

I hope no one was drinking :)

Hey guys, if you're on the spot why not say something. Can't bailiff the place 24/7, but a quiet word from other anglers often goes a long way.

Casting over other peoples lines , what next ? You'll be telling me that someone has left their tackle in a swim and gone to work while his mate in the next swim watches his gear until work has finished . ;)

Well...... You couldn't make it up !!!!!!
Someone has actually been caught reserving a swim for his mate , the best part is , he claims he didn't know he wasn't allowed to do it .
For the record , leaving gear in a swim so a mate can get in there later in the day isn't cricket!!!! >:( You know who you are..

just to put people straight the peg wasnt reserved for me, i asked phil to put my bivvy up as rain was immanent and that if anyone turned up before i got there he should move the bivvy to let them get in. I was at the lake for twenty past four so the bivvy had only been up for just over an hour. i apologise to anyone who was duly inconvenienced by my actions. I would also like to apologise to phil as he was the one that caught the flack.

Noting to do with me as I dont hold a ticket any more but i would hardly call it back stabbing because someone posted it on here.

It used to say somewhere on the permit that everyone with a permit at ravenfield are entitled to act as balifs, I guess some people just dont like confrontation though :)

I've not had the chance to reply until today due to working away monday to friday , hence why you might not have seen me . But I have been down to the pond and I have found the need to put a couple of anglers on the right track regarding behaviour .
Firstly Penfold , I never pointed the finger at you as I didn't know who the angler in question was so I am afraid that you "outed" yourself . If you re read the first two posts I placed on this thread you will see that the first one in reply to your initial rant was entirely tongue in cheek and by sheer coincidence I made reference to reserving swims. Obviously you are not a fan of irony and didn't get the second post .
If in fact it was you who reserved the swim ?(you said it , not me ) then it does seem ironic that you started this thread by moaning about others ....
Hardly backstabbing was it ?

Think they have all left the building mate, been quiet for a while, Stuart seems to have disapeared maybe on the Ravo forums?

coming back up in a few weeks, can some one shove me some gear in a peg. Don't wana come all that way and find it full, any time in the next few days should be enough.
