Carpy 888 and Waterpig's Launch
« on: February 06, 2010, 10:17:36 AM »
As memebers of this forum and as anglers generally I think it is important that we all support each other.

When a fellow F-F member tries something new the rest of us here should be on hand to offer encouragement and advice and words of comfort when it goes ... sorry IF it goes wrong.

So with the above in mind I think we should all get off down to Pebley to witness and support Carpy and Piggy when they climb aboard the good ship .... well whatever it is called.

Oh and we promise not to laugh if it sinks / turns turtle / stops in the middle or catches fire.

So guys when is the great occasion? I have abottle of champagne (obviously we wont be ablet to do this at Ravo if drink is involved).

Excellent name!

I would think crew should adopt suitable titles when she's afloat.

Obvious ones spring to mind, Master Bates and Seaman Stains. I guess if AAron is on board he could be Roger the Cabin boy.

O dear I just had an image of carpy standing on the front doing the titanic pose as you head off away from the shore.

Whats it made of? Is it a blow up? Maybe you could call it blow-up Doll?

Oh I remember the seagull engines! thats a blast from the past. I'm sure health and safety would love them these days, the flywheel is exposed on them isnt it?

Just one small thing when they go for it, carpy can't swim ??? well not very well anyway so they pick somewhere like pebley to try it out. The shear size, 40 odd feet deep and full of snags, yeh it's perfect.

That not what you told me, then when you wouldn't even get in the boat, even in the edge, without having your life jacket on what am I to think. Lets face it you have all on walking with out tripping over, I have never known anyone as clumsy. God only knows whats going to happen when things go tits up but good luck and I promise I won't laugh.
