Which one is shireoaks? Is that teh old quary one wih the verticle cliff at one side or is it the one near Shefield aeroclub at neherthorpe behind a pub. I always get the two place names mixed up.

I know liver8 or whatever he is called now AAron :) was talking of fishing the one with the cliff. I fished it 3 years back and caught a skimmer, that was all but it was cold. It has some nice pike in it.

i think you mean the one with the pub. If so the best swims are the ones around the side off the island it has a out flow pipe and a small bridge next t it and a stream runs behind them. Just fish up t the island. I have fished other pegs but they are the best. Always have a look in the no fishing corner there used t be a rope that went across it but thats gone now, they wil be in there if the sun is up its only two foot deep and u cant miss them hope this helps. ;)

Made angling times, huge fish kill.

i used to fish it alot a fair few years back always fished one infront of pub though never had no monsters but it was after they lost a lot of fish. Try the far bank next to stone wall near to bottom of island(deeper part of pond) also bottom bank did ok n chuck up to island theres an outlet pipe in the bottom corner(if level low you can see it) theres a deep chanel that runs there. bird food boilies did ok n bags of pellet.
