Martin asked me to put a new advert on the main site stating that there are some 6 month tickets available for the carp lake.

More!! The other weekend when I fished there were ten on, sell more tickets an you will be pushing it to get on. How many for are there, did he say Is this really the right thing to do.

I have fished at other places where there are people hanging about in the car park waiting for some one to pull off so they can get on, I hope this is not the way it's going.

This is not on and people need to voice this loudly.
If you are reading this Martin consider this.

You pay £100 to join a gym and find if you go on certain days you can't train so you go on other days which mean time off work but you've paid your money so you get on with it, only for the gym to then offer more memberships for the only days you can use it after being told "50 members" when you handered over your hard earned!

After putting up with the weed last year this is a major own goal and to be frank is an absolute joke.
I for one will not be renewing if this is the case and speaking to a few others they feel the same.

Please think about what your doing for the sake of a few hundred quid.

Im not sure if Martin does read this forum. I know when I put it up he thought it was all too negative. Something that has changed over the last year or so.

What is a concern of mine is what happens next April, do the new 6 month members get told they can only apply in October and the rest of us (if any get to stay at the front of the list as normal or will there just be 60, 90 or however many total tickets sold. Or are we going to be given the great pond stuffed with 40's ?

Maybe one of the commitee men can fill us in?

Whoa , calm down boys . Firstly , there will be 10 winter tickets made available and no more . It was a decision made by the committee to do this for the winter only after considering how little the pond is used at this time of year , to answer your question Ade , it will have no effect on next April . The 10 new winter permit holders are just that , and are not automatically entitled to full membership thus adding to the numbers.
Lets be honest the pond is hardly ever busy and I think the week you refer to Andy there were 3 anglers on there for 4 days+ (which they are perfectly entitled to do) was quite an isolated instance with the pond being empty most days this summer, increasing the the members by one fifth for the quietest time of the year isn't going to affect whether or not anyone gets a swim .

alas no I didnt, after reading some of the comments it would have made me feel like an outsider, daft - probably, but I'll bide my time for next season and catch it at its best - winter allways the best of times.

Moving on though, I like the idea of opening up another pond at the complex

Gizzy , I am pretty certain that those buy the winter ticket will be top of the waiting list for next seasons tickets . Wouldn't want you to miss out mate .
