Stolen Tackle
« on: September 28, 2009, 10:44:46 PM »
Got a text from PaulB today who I fish with from time to time to say he's had most of his tackle nicked out of his truck.

His rods and reels were rare ones that meant a lot to him. The rods were AK47 twin tips, and the reels were silcast (Ill have to ask him the model number again).

Also one of his bvies, a brand new Whychood 6ft stalking rod his daughter had bought him for his birthday with a browning reel on it, all his terminal tackle etc etc. Fox alarms.

The guy is gutted and says he wont be replacing the gear as hes had enough.

So if some scroat trys selling you any gear that is obviously nicked get a number or something and maybe he can get his gear back.

Yep.
I think it is insured, but the point is he's had those rods and reels for years and he isn't a tackle tart, he didnt want any new ones. I know he caught his PB on them in Germany whilst he was in the army.

Hursty has offered some gear he has in the garage, I asked him if he wants my old rods but he didnt seem like he was going to bother.

Said he was going to the lake to chuck some bait in as he didnt need it now :(

The reels are silstar gxb 60, 3 rods and 3 reels. The reels had red line on them. Martin has said he will put it in the paper too.
