I bought a whip of Ebay (no not that kind of whip, perv's) a 5 foot telescopic one. I was fishing at a little commercial at Bawtry, River Side. Anyhow it had been slow on the feeder just a couple of skimmers I think so I thought I would have a go with this little whip.
I got a couple of perch and then hooked a 5 1/4 lb mirror, with it. I had decided rather than tying straight to the top with mono to use a couple of foot of pole elastic to take any shock out of the strike. I ended stood up hanging off the staging with this thing nearly bend double! I landed it and then caught another almost identical but a bit lighter just 5lb.
It was great fun though! One of my most fun catches ever! Heres one of the fish, it was like a little ball!
