Due to the fact I havent been abole to get fishing on Ravenfield carp lake much this season I can't give you much more advice than the others on here. All I will say is if you are only fishing days Waterpig is right mornings are good. But I'm lazy

So I usualy do 5 or so hours from mid day. Shallow end is where you will see fish but they are very often just sun bathing. I have had them out of the shallows.
Be prepared to move around, its a pain in the bum but works, Like Waterpig says they seem to like yellow things

Keep yourself hidden too, they dont always spook if they see you but I promise you that if they do know your there you wont be catching those fish.
Evenings they seem to move back up the lake towards the deeper water. Which is I guess where the most of the feeding is done. Zigs seem to work well for some people too, not for me though
