I think it a very good question. Almost all angling forums that I have been on require you to register before you can post replies and view other content.
I see no reason not to make prospective members register before being able to join in the chit chat. What would it hurt? Also, as it is evident that some committee members are viewing this forum, forcing them to register just may pursuade them to post some replies in response to comments any of the carpers may make regarding their running of the carp lake. This could possibly help to combat a lot of the chinese whispers that Ravenfield is afflicted with. As such, it could help the membership of the forum grow.
Just my two pennies worth. But I say yes - go for it!
