weed raking

Hi lads , I have been on my hols and missed the weed removing . There seems to be a lot of negativity about it all , have I missed something ? I thought the weed was the big bug-bear on here . The fact that something is being done about the problem , as we all asked for , I am a little surprised by the reaction from some of us . Maybe I have missed something whilst I was away .

im new to the place but i have listened to people on the bank and the weed seems to be the main problem so hopefully catching it early might have a positive effect plus if it works it should benefit everyone in the long run i know its happened before but hopefully its been caught at the right time ?  i dont mind either way as i will make my own holes and rake patches myself as ive fished some weedy lakes before and with a bit of effort its fishable the last one was 40acres and 20ft in places and weeded top to bottom and still caught fish
