Is everyone still here then?

Can anyone explain to me how this colider thing in the Swiss Alps is going to make things better in the world? Seems like a load of scientists just massaging their ego's if you asl me.

Nah - Just a quicker way to destroy the planet. Watching TV one minute - flying past Saturn the next!!
