Just a quick post to let everyone know that I'm still around and can't wait to spend some time on the bank with you all down at Ravo.
I've just come out of hospital after a three week stay. My new chemotherapy regime is underway, so I am hoping to meet my goal of having the rods on the bank for June 1st. Lost a couple of stone due to the hospital food, but at my weight that can only be a good thing; it gives me more room in my favourite fishing gear to bend and stretch if nothing else.
My wife had an email from Aaron, requesting she call and collect his sponsorship money, though due to the hetic time she's had of late with me being in hospital etc, she hasn't managed it yet, but has contacted Aaron to let him know the hold up.
Only one other angler, a tall chap named Andy (not Andyoak) remains outstanding with about £200 of sponsorship money. We haven't heard from him since the day of the match. If anyone knows him, could you give him a nudge to contact me please. I am having some difficulty getting any response from Alderfen over the fifty pounds they were supposed to be donating. I am sending another email this evening, so fingers crossed.
The Cavendish Centre requested the money be handed over in one go, so as to milk it for as much advertising and promo as they could get, so I still have the bulk of the money collected in my possession. As soon as all outstanding monies are received I will visit the centre upon one of my next hospital appointments, as it is practically next door to the hallamshire.
My wife had a text stating someone had the winning number for the teddy bear raffle, but has had no follow up contact since. The bottle of whiskey remains unclaimed.
That's about it. Just thought I would keep you up to date whilst my faculties allowed. I hope everyone is fit and healthy and managing to wet a line every now and then.
Best regards. Hope to see you all on the bank soon.
Stuart
