This weekend
« on: January 05, 2009, 07:13:18 PM »
Just done sat an sunday night with a big fat blank :(

Karl had a run last night but by the time he got himself out of the nest the fish was round the back of the island :D All the fish, well about 15ish, were clumped together  in the middle of the lake just under the surface as they have been all summer.

Carpy888 rang me sunday and we had him hook line and sinker. We told him we were bagging up and he swallowed it, he was on his way to Dover on a job so couldn't come an see all the action. Left him while this morrning as well before we told him we were yanking his chain. :D

We left this morrning and half the lake was froze and with the weather they have tipped this week I would think that it will be unfishable this week.

Just a word of warning as well if you go down. Check the hill to see if keith has gritted it, we had a right job getting out this morrning. Karl with only two wheel drive couldn't get more than about ten yards up the hill and even with me towing him it took us three goes.[diff lock and low box and still sliding all over the place] ???

wondered how long it would take ya carpy. Pitty fish wern't biting as well as you do :D

Adi your right. When we did get out we were saying how iffy if was. It kept pulling my back end round towards the drop. If it had slipped over the edge then I dread to think what would have happened, a bit of an oil slick in the carp pond for one and two spare season tickets next year for another :o
